Great storage idea in the bedroom!! 268RKS

Frustrated with the tall narrow closets either side of our bed, I began to look into alternative ways to store my clothes. I went to IKEA and purchased 2 black collapsible storage units for a whopping $9.99 each that fits perfect!! Made my day when I popped them in today, it was almost as if they were custom made for these closets! They have velcro tabs that securely wrap around the horizontal bar, then they simply drops down like an accordian. Each shelf has a hardboard insert to keep it rigid. They have 6 shelves, but 4 will be usable. You can also store light items above the cross bar. I added inexpensive dollar store baskets that will hold shirts, socks, tshirts etc.
The unit is called "SKUBB" and measures approx 13 3/4" wide, 17 3/4" deep and 49" tall. My closet opening is approx 13" wide by 48.5" high. The actual space inside is wider and taller than the opening, thus allowing these to fit perfect.
I bought 2 of them from the Ikea in Burlington Ontario but would think that they are avail through any Ikea?

Completely agree! We did the exact same thing. They really make that space so much more usable.

Closet Modif

VIBE 313 BHS, Last August added two of three hanger shelves from Target. This May, I pushed them back 4 inches, put a shelf over the hanger rod, and allows four shirts to hang. Plus have access to the bottom, so its like really six shelves altogether with the bottom going back an additional 6 inches (due to curve of the front of trailer).

Works great!

Storage on 268rks

well Maiden trip went great but I will say 268rks what storage. Glad there is the bed of pickup. I know it will get better. I got my two pair of jeans and some shorts and enough T-shirts for me. But I will say again Maiden trip. I guess I (and DW) have some things to adjust. Grin. I have found that there are 2 lists. Mine (Primary puller) and Sig Other. I do know that a good attitude goes a long way. Plus we do not carry sharp objects yet. Grin.
