Hello all, I'm new to the Forum and to owning a TT

Hello again,

I have a maybe odd question to start out with. I seem to have bought a TT that doesn't really exist. It's a 2019 Forest River Rainier, 268RKSK. I can't find it on the FR website, It doesn't appear that anyone here owns the one. I have figured out that is is the same as the Vibe. I just think it's odd. Got it from Poulsbo RV, (not happy with them esp. their sales guy). Haven't even taken it out yet and back to the shop 3 times now.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Do you have any paperwork showing the warranty information on that tt?

I've seen the picture of you tt on the Poulsbo RV website and the symbol on the front looks like it's made by Dutchmen - not Forest River.

Forest River will sometimes make an RV in name, that is exclusive to a dealer. That may be the case with your RV.

Yes, it appears to be custom made for Poulsbo RV

https://www.poulsborv.com/rainier/

It's highly likely though you will find the same RV made in another line though, but going by a different name.

"We carry several floor plans of the RAINIER TRAVEL TRAILER at Poulsbo RV including the, 236RBSR, 245BHSR, 268RKSR, 272BHSR, 279RBSR, and the 301RLSL.This Travel Trailer is packed with style and features that deliver exceptional value. See more, do more, live more in this RV. You’ll find the best value, selection and service at any one of five locations in Fife, Kent, Auburn, Everett and Mt. Vernon."

When you omit the R (which may identify it as a Rainier) at the end of the model numbers, they seem to cross with a Forest River Vibe. You may can look at that line and see if it matches your Rainier.

The paperwork all says Forest River. wmtire, that makes sense odd that Poulsbo never made it that clear.
Thanks for all the replies.

Thanks for all the replies.

You are welcome, I posted a link in post #7 above to a Vibe that may be the same as your Rainier. Can you look at it and confirm if it is or not?

If so I am going to move this thread to the vibe subforum.

Thanks

OK Great, I am going to move this thread over to the Vibe subforum. You can always look at your model (less the R) in the Vibe forums for possible help with your particular RV.

BTW, Welcome aboard. I don't know if this is your first RV, but if so, this link may help you too:

Yep, it's a Vibe made for Poulsbo RV dealerships, with different outside graphics and the Rainier name.
There are a few Rainier owners here so you might try doing a search.
By the way, Welcome to FRF, from Camano Island. I didn't like Poulsbo and bought from Open Road RV, in Arlington. They sell lots of Vibes.

hshaynes, well it started with the sales guy at the RV show. We decided to buy the model at the show, but we told him we didn't want that unit. I saw broken drawers and scratches. He said "oh don't worry it won't be this one" I'm 59 you think I would know by now...
Well we went to pick it up , signed all the financial papers went out to the unit and it was the same one. The guy walking us around the TT didn't seem to care. I probably could have walked at that point, but didn't. Well we got it home and so far, remote was busted and didn't work, TV had DVD cables broken off in the TV, Glass in the kitchen cabinets were not secure and falling out, the power cord they gave me is yellowed like it has been out in the sun for a year or so. They said they will fix everything but still... newest it the electric jack (FIC 3500) is intermittent. The pop out has put a nice scratch in the floor. Again they are fixing everything. I haven't taken it out yet, who knows what will happen next.
Maybe I should be asking "is this normal"

not a very good product if this is normal.

Thanks
Jim

I do not think those kinds of problems are normal. I also do not think the dealer did any kind of repairs or touch ups prior to delivery. I have the same unit in a Vibe and we had some issues but nothing like yours. Try to take some pics if you can of the scratched floor. That would concern me the most. First opportunity you get, and with the slide out, raise the edge of the carpet and check the long white fiberglass that extends the length of the slide for buckeling. Mine buckled on end and tore crap out of the floor. I will see if I still have a pic and post it shortly. If I or anyone else on the forum can help, do not hesitate to reach out.

Here is the pic. For correct orientation, my thumb should be at top right of pic. The buckle on mine was on the end near fireplace. It was simply cut off and the screw removed and saved.
