The amp is where the cable is attached to wall inside....Has a LED light, green or red, and a little push button to turn amp on or off....Light off---amp off

our Verizon hot spot works/worked great at cg that had bad or no wifi, ... when we got the new iphones we dropped the hot spot off the account and use the iphones as hot spots, ... they work great and actually right now at home, we're using them again for wifi, because we've lost our internet feed from Time Warner Cable and they can't come out until Thursday, .... the iphone works as a great wifi backup at a time like this, ....

So Verizon has unlimited data for hot spot?

Most smart phones have the hotspot option. Easy and convenient. Just have to double check your data plan for any limits.

This only works if you have cell phone coverage. Many places we camp has *nothing*, no service at all.

Verizon unlimited works best with a signal booster and a verizon mifi so you are not using the data from the phone. Even though it is unlimited it can be slowed down if the cell tower is busy.

Here is a picture of the wall plate in my TT. The little black button turns the antenna amp on and off.

Bob, I connected the cable to xfinity box to cable on trailer, amp off and tv on cable, I think I'm missing something.
