My Vibe 308BHS LED Taillight upgrade

So I upgraded my taillights tonLED lights purchased from Amazon for $49pr. So far they are great. I need to clean up the old silicone but other than that, installation was all of 30mins

Very nice upgrade and a great video. As kind of a question a little off topic I see you have a cover for your bumper mounted grill. Could you tell me where you got it?

Very nice. I think this is the way to go for led. I have heard just doing bulbs is not as good since the reflectors are made for incandesant and not led so you do not get the best benefits.

Iron, wondering if you can share the Amazon part number with the Forum. I like yours and would like to duplicate. Thanks ...

No good in snow and ice as they don't get warm like the factory ones when they get warm they will keep the ice off, a lot of truckers found this out. So just stay in the warm area's of the country.

Our RV is Tucked In for the winter,no worry about snow & Ice! Now our Snowmobile trailer has Both Types of Lights on all 4 sides, under certain conditions ALL are covered going down the Road in the Winter Ice & Snow! At fuel stops we Clean the lights off,by the way BIG Rigs Rear lights have the SAME issues! Youroo!!

Led tail lights

You will love them, especially useful for people behind you knowing you are stopping or turning.

I'm getting a set of these next month. Don't care about them not melting snow (I have enough trouble when it's severe clear so you'll never catch me driving in the snow).

My Vengeance came from FR with LED marker lights all around. Can't figure why they didn't do the tail lights.

Came with the trailer. You didn't get one ? I'd call the dealer back and demand it. In Christmas spirit that is.

So all camper deliveries up north have to stop for 6 months of the year?

You do know that you can just take the led parts out of these lights and they will fit in the factory bases

I disagree, lighting designed for incandesant lights will have a diffrent reflector than an led light. You can buy led replacement bulbs to swap out incandesant but in my experience and opinion the light that is output is much dimmer compared to a correctly designed light for leds.

Not everyone lives in Texas ,most of the country has snow and we learn to drive in it not like in 2005 when they closed the Expressway in the RGV because no one had seen snow before. Some of the northern people use there campers for skiing or snowmobiling .

I bought the exact lights as originally posted didn't want to have to mess with the caulking around the factory light housing so the LEDs in the lights mount by the 2 bottom screws and you can remove all the inside parts of the factory lights and just install the LEDs inside the factory housing. Same light brightness in both housings just don't have to worry about the sealant.
