Question about trailer brakes

Hi folks. My 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 towing package wants me to specify what kind of trailer brakes I have in the settings. I have a Forest River Vibe 251RKS.

Can anyone help me with this. I can't seem to find that info anywhere.

Are they electric or air or electric over hydraulic?

Thanks for any help.

You have electrically activated, electromagnet actuated, friction drum brakes!

Or just X3 the above posters!

Electric, but I'm curious though if the trailer break controller is built in as part of the tow package because you mentioned settings.

Trailer brakes

Each wheel with 2 wires on the inside backing plate is a brake assembly. Each draws 3 amps maximum. So if you have 4 wheels with brakes you need a controller with 12 amps or more. 12 volt electric brakes. 10 inch & 12 inch brakes have same amp requirement.

Your options are light electric or heavy electric, choose heavy electric
