Sanity Check - Vibe 268RKS

We are very interested in getting a Vibe 268RKS. Just wondering if we'll have any problems towing it with our Ford F150 Ecoboost 4X4. Any input is appreciated!

I have the bigger vibe 308bhs. My 2012 Ecoboost has the highway 3.15 gears in the rear differential. We haven't traveled with ours yet, but I picked it up from Michigan and drove it back 900 miles to Oklahoma without issue.

Getsum...thank you so much for the reply. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of weight distribution setup do you have?

14k/1400 equalizer 4-way. It performs pretty well.

You could probably be fine with either the 12k/1200 or the 10k/1000 models.

Use this and the weights from FR website.

Add sufficient amount for cargo/water/propane/etc...

Looks like a good truck trailer match

As long as you have the tow package. I have a 2013 F150 FX4 ecoboost and no problem what so ever towing our 268RKS. I did put Timbrens on to help prevent the rear end sag and I'm very happy with the results. I use a 4 point equalizer WD hitch.

We have had no problems towing with our F150 4x4 with Ecoboost 3.5 liter engine with max trailer towing package. We had a 28' Cougar 5th wheel that we towed with it. I became concerned about hitch weight, so traded the 5er for a MiniLite trailer. I looked at the specs for your Vibe and saw the hitch weight is over 800 lbs. You may want to check that against the payload sticker posted in the driver's side door to see if you have enough capacity.

Going to pick up our 268RKS on Thursday. Getting the 2016 Ford F-150 3.5 with EcoBoost tomorrow! We did a lot of research and are assured that this match up will work just fine! Will update you after pulling it- pretty excited!!

Happy, safe travels!

Properly "break in" that motor, transmission, and rear end before towing any significant distance.

I borrowed by dads ecoboost 3.5 to tow my 268RKS when my ecodiesel was out of commission for some body work. Plenty of power to tow it, but got about 10mpg where my ecodiesel gets about 14-16mpg towing it. Just can't haul up the major mountain passes at 70mph like the ecoboost can. Only thing I didn't like was the brakes felt like they were being worked pretty bad downhill on the ecoboost, doesn't seem to be much ability to hold speed back by downshifting.
