Question Trailer Upholstery

We bought a new 2022 26BH trailer about a year ago and finally took it out full-time in May. Thankfully to date we've had no mechanical problem but a couple of interior issues have come to light.

Our model has a curved-seat dining area requiring a great deal of shifting to maneuver. The two of us consult from home part-time and we both are at the table much of the day. Also, because our model comes with a small love seat, one of us is typically at the table evening when we watch TV or play a game. This is all to say the seat cushions get a lot of use. The woven fabric is wearing and they're squashed and misshapen. This is just after a little over six months. I can't determine if in addition to the poor quality of the fabric, would the quality of the foam also come into play. Any related thoughts, experiences or recommendations?

Typically the booth cushions are not designed, or the quality for all day use. We have own campers for 35 plus years nothing has changed.

If it is within the one year warranty you might try that route.

If not you might try an upholstery shop that does boats. It will not be cheap. Be sure to tell the the type use that they will see.

Not what you want to hear but no surprise.

We upgraded the seat cushioning in our Sunseeker within the first few months.
They needed a denser foam than from Forest River.
We used a furniture upholsterer and it made a world of difference.
The cushion backs were fine…..we just had the seat cushions done.

fabric can have a slip cover added

cushion foam can be modified ...
good cushions will have multiple layers of different density and some fluffy Dacron type material...

a good upholstery shop can re-shape the flattened cushion foam.

if your weather is nice and if not too noisy outside...
think about getting some good gazebo and some outside folding seating / tables.
then you can sit in different locations/positions once in a while

Do you have kids? We do, and they will not tell us what they did with the 'fort' (cushions).

I view it as the nature of RV cushions and fabrics. They are designed for occasional recreational use.

Having them recovered with better quality and improved interior padding and structural materials will be expensive. Slipcovers do work (although I despise their appearance) and can be disposed of and replaced much more economically.

Replacement cushions from E-Trailer or Rec-Pro may an alternate option.

Due to the flaking of the vinyl surface, we had our Jack Knife sofa recovered. Almost the price of a new one. Actually, now I wish we had purchased a new one.
