Vibe 2017 268rks slide Flex guard rubbing on tire

I noticed that the flex guard doe my slide wiring was rubbing on my tire after I had a blowout. Checking to see if this is something anyone has seen before and do I simply need to put a new one on or is there a way to improve it so that it helps it to be supported?Click image for larger version

I would strap it up ensuring there is slack for the slid to move without pulling on the wires

Thanks. I did use a small bungee chord to hold it up from bouncing but I have to remember/add to my checklist to remove it before I open the slide. I suspect it may have gotten deformed by the tire blowout flapping against it. Probably best to replace it.
