Vibe 65xx Modification

The DW and I found we were not using the table in our Vibe 6501 so we made this modification.
We cut a ½” sheet of plywood to fit the front and added some braces.
We bought a Full Size 4” memory foam mattress topper & cut it to fit.
No more messing around with sofa cushions sliding around.
One rainy morning, the DW, 2 80lb Labs and I were all able to lie down and watch a movie.
1st Pic is the original layout
2nd Pic shows the plywood

We were looking at this model and appreciate your modification. But isn't the TV right there? What are you towing it with? We have a Toyota Tacoma....and this seems to be the best brand for us since we want the kitchen and bathroom!

We love ours. Ours is a 2012 and the tv is mounted across from the the fridge. In other years/models the mount the tv in the nose. I heard if you order your TT you can have it mounted across from the fridge area.

We tow ours with an Toyota FJ Cruiser (500lb hitch, 5,000lb tow capacity)

We're towing ours with a Sequoia (same thing as your Tacoma, pretty much). No problems. Tows very nicely. We don't have any sway control, equalizer hitch etc.

We love our 6501, just got back from 18 days in the Black Hills, no problems at all. Originally the table legs were about 4 inches too short but they replaced them on warranty. We pull it with a Ford F150 and we do have a weight distribution system (can't recall which one right now). The only negative is little storage for clothes and linens. We use a clear storage box in the storage area which we put near the stair opening under the bedroom. We put the bed down in the kitchen for cozy movie watching but still use the table lots.
