Just for completeness.
And for even more completeness... there are companies that make an electric heating element for the FURNACE.

I've never seen one come that way from the factory but anything is possible.

I rarely pay for electric and want the Cheap Heat System. It’s just like you describe. I’d like it- it would save me on propane and avoid the hassle of space heaters sitting out.

Unfortunately, it's pretty expensive; about $1100 if I remember correctly. I'll stick with my $35 Walmart space heater.

Wow! I had no idea they were that expensive. I heard reports of $400.00-500.00.

You'd have to use the rig an awfully lot in a climate where heat is needed to recoup that.

You're right, they're about $500, although he's got one for $250.

CheapHeat

But even at $250 or $500, I'll stick with my $35 Walmart heater, thank you.

I apologize for the confusion. Yes we’re only using the actual propane furnace. We’ve taken it to the dealer and they’re trying to figure out what’s wrong with it. At first they said it was normal the air temperature coming out of the vents was about 100°. Every other trailer I’ve been in the air temperature coming out of floors are 120° Unfortunately the trailer just will not heat up when it’s chilly outside. It has a heated underbelly but it won’t heat the inside of the trailer when it’s that cold.

The heated underbelly only means on the Vibe that the bottom of the trailer is cover by the plastic barrier, and it's called heated underbelly because the heat vents run through the bottom through the floor of your trailer, so it heats the underbelly with radiant heat from the duct work. Please, if I am wrong someone correct me. I learned a lot on this forum about heat strips and all, so I have the Vibe with one AC so I could add a heat element to the AC if it's compatible?

That is how they described it at the dealership yesterday.

Yes, the heat strip would be one and the compressor would be off. fan would be on. I don't know how the t-state would deal with that.

Something is wrong with your propane furnace. Vibes (mine 268rks, 35') aren't well insulated but heat up quickly & comfortably when it is 20 degrees outside.....
