Wobbly Center Island in Kitchen

All,

I just finished out first shakedown camp of a new 2020 Sandpiper 372LOK. One major issue, with a few very minor ones. Love the floor plan.

I am interested in hearing if anyone else with a 372LOK (or floor plan with a free standing center island in the kitchen) has experienced the same.

The floor plan has living room and kitchen in the back, with a free standing center island in the kitchen (with a sink and a couple cabinets/drawers). There are slides on each side of it (which close up against the island in the middle).

When you walk near the island, you can see and hear the island shaking and wobbling. You can even stand next to it and just shift your weight from left to right and notice it as well. I assume there are some support brackets that run underneath, not sure if one or more of those is loose, or need to be reinforced. I had to do this kind of thing to a previous camper (for a different reason), and it worked like a champ. But that wasnt a brand new camper that was still under warranty.

I have not reached out to the dealership yet, so will let you all know how that goes when I do.

Has anyone else run into something like this?

Here is the floor plan (not sure if this link will come through, but you can Google it):

I dont have your unit but ours is a FR Vibe 28RL and we a similar layout, our kitchen island is fairly sturdy, if I push on it there is a little movement there but in general its sturdy, i dont know what holds it down but i would have it looked at soon because there's plumbing in there and it may leak, good luck

FR -

I just reached out to Lisa, thanks.

I dropped it off at the dealership yesterday, so will hopefully get some kind of diagnosis in the next few days. Will reply once I know more.

I ended up taking it in to my dealership (Colman's Country Campers in Hartford, IL). They found that there was a loose bracket, and also did some re-enforcing between the side to side brackets (over the top of the galley tank). Picked it up yesterday, significantly more stable!

A big thanks for dealership and FR for their support. We have all heard horror stories of people dealing with a dealership and a manufacturer when neither one of them wanted to step up to the plate - fortunately I had both in my corner!
