Cool 2022 R-pod 192 bed latch

Has anyone added an additional outer latch on the other side of the murphy bed? We added a memory foam topper and want to add an additional latch. So far, haven't found one that is spring loaded that would work.

Moved from the General Community Discussion section to the Rpod sub-forum since the OP is asking for model-specific information.

I haven't done it yet, but I did see a YouTube video a few months ago where that owner did just that after installing a thicker mattress. So far, the single latch is doing an adequate job of securing my mattress even after adding a 3" foam topper.

R-Pod advises that you should travel with the bed in the down position so I haven't added a second latch. I did add a strap to go over the bed to keep it from bouncing while traveling.

Rpod 192 bed latch

We weren't happy with the bed latch provided, so we installed 2 new ones on either side.

I agree with you. I would like to use two latches, one on each side. Can you tell me where you purchased your latches? Thanks!
