21/22 R-Pod 180 width minus wheels

Sorry if this is listed elsewhere..

What is the width of the 180 not including the wheels/fenders that stick out? Forest River lists the 180 as 8' (96") wide, but I am assuming that includes the wheels.

The 180 is at the top of our shopping list, but we want a TT that is 7' wide due to having a mid-size truck and wanting more rear visibility.

Anyone know, or willing to measure theirs?

Thank you, Ed

I can tell you that it's 74" on the inside. It's quite easy to see around with my Dodge Durango without extended mirrors; I just have to lean a little bit.

The outside width, not including the wheels/tires, is 77 inches.

Perfect folks. Thank you both. We plan to tow with our '21 Ranger.

Nice

The Ranger looks good. Let us know how it works. The new Ranger looks to be as big as the old Ford F-100, but smaller than the new F-150’s.
Enjoy the ride

Nice ride! When towing our 179 with the Tacoma I used extended mirrors just for the safety factor. The factory mirrors let me see down the side, but not behind unless I gave a little swerve from time to time. You'll work it out comfortably in the new Ranger.

Thanks. I may get the clip on mirrors. I feel the 6.5' width of the R-pod will work well. We also looked at Wolf Pups (7" wide) but the R-Pod seems to have a little more premium items. Talked to a dealer today and order times are 16-24 weeks on the 180. We will probably order soon.

Thanks for this thread folks. Unfortunately, FR has suspended production of the 180 (and all 6.5' width R-Pods) through at least Q1, 2022.

We put a deposit on a Jayco Feather Micro.

Here is the FR email if you are interested:

Yes the RPod 180 is temporarily discounted until further notice, we are hoping to be producing it again by the end of Q1 2022. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks,

We also asked about the 190:

Unfortunately the RP190 is in the same boat as the RP180.

Translation: We're getting a helluva lot more orders for the longer, wider models than the narrower ones, so we want to leave the wide tooling in place.
