Looking to purchase a R Pod 191

Hello all, I am new to the forum. I am looking to purchase a front window version of the 191 model and would welcome comments. I love the idea of twin beds, but am a bit concerned over the size of the wet bath. I know there are always trade offs on rvs, but this one seems to perfectly match my needs. Thanks all and I look forward to your responses.

I'm currently contemplating the same decision......R-Pod 191 or NoBo 16.2. At 6 feet tall the wet bath might be an issue for my height, but the NoBo with the dry bath is 500 pounds heavier. I'll be towing with the new Jeep Gladiator rated at 5000 pounds plus, so it's really dependent on the bath arrangement. Keep us informed of your decision making process and be sure to post a pic of the complete rig when you can.

I too considered the Nobo 16.2, but I consider it inexcusable that, to save money, they have no window in the door, no smooth top stove with backsplash and no smooth top kitchen sink with cover. All these shortcomings don't exist on the RP-191.

Have heard complaints of leaking around the front window on earlier Rpods. DO NOT know how common or how much of an issue it is at this time.

I have a 2020 195 with the front glass. Mine was at the factory for 3 months because of a leak in the glass. FR rebuilt the entire front end of the TT because of the damage. Window, fiberglass structure, interior panels, bed plywood, etc. Must be a common problem with the midyear change in design, because FR offered to pick it up, fix it at the factory and deliver it back to me.

Not sure of your location but my dealer is awesome to deal with. Small, family owned. Be sure to mention me. ( Jim Connor)

R Pod

We bought a new 2011 R Pod RP 172 , it was built really well and trouble free. We kept it for 7 years but tired of making the dinette into the short queen you had to crawl over and the tight wet bath. We sold the Pod and bought a new 2018 Palomino Real-Lite RL 181, it is 1 foot longer and 6 inches wider than the Pod and has a single slide. The difference is amazing. We have a walk around queen , much more storage, a roomy dry bath and ours has the optional huge front window. The Pal is only 3100 lbs and for the two of us is perfect. We enjoyed the Pod but the Palomino is hands down more comfortable without getting too big.

The 195 and 196 both offer a dry bath. I am over 6' and the shower is fine. The UVW is about 3300#. Walk around short queen. 22'3" length, 96" wide.
Seems to have everything folks in this thread want.

Worth a look, price is a bit higher. But don't be like me, if you can, spend the extra to get what you want.

Good luck and if I can give you any insights, PM me.

We went down the same path of discovery, considered an R-Pod - and ended up with a Surveyor 200MBLE. Consider it - Roomy - Full Queen bed - Full Kitchen - you do not have to climb over each other to get out of bed - full bath with shower and only 21 feet long.

We went for a R-Pod 180 and came home with a Surveyor 243rbs. Couldn't be happier that we chose something bigger, but still a "couples" camper. We are around 5500lbs loaded. We changed the dinette to a tri-fold sofa. Will be changing after this camping season (our 3rd) to theater seats.
