R Pod purchase

Hello all, we're looking hard at the R Pod. We live in Nova Scotia but have looked at US dealerships and they are quite a bit cheaper (even with the exchange). Jeff Couch's dealership in Ohio show good prices, are these prices negotiable? I understand he is a wholesaler.

Thanks in advance
Harvey

Calling themselves a "wholesaler" is a marketing gimmick. They are simply high volume RV dealers who get better prices from the manufacturer, due to large order numbers. That way they can sell them at lower prices. RV Wholesalers in Ohio and RV Direct/RV One are the same model.
They usually don't negotiate much, if at all. But you can get them to compete with each other for your business.
I know RVW does a lot of business with Canadian customers and one of co-owners is a member here and personally gets involved with helping his customers here and some non-customers.

Be Careful

I purchased my 2020 R-Pod 195 from Couch in Ohio. Yes, I did save $3,000 - $4,000 by using a high volume dealer but the downside is, service??? Couch is about 300 miles away and my 1 month old R-Pod is now back at Forest River in Indiana for leak repairs and I had to arrange the process myself. I am not saying the dealer wouldn't repair it but I would have to get it there.

FR and the person I am dealing with Danielle, are wonderful. Paid for everything, including the transportation (300 - 400 miles, one way). If I could have taken it back to a local dealer, I may not have been looking at 4-6 weeks without the unit.

So bottom line, beware that price isn't everything.

Good point Rob. I'm in Canada and not sure a dealer would honour the warranty, being outside the country.

So where were the leaks you have in your 2020 195? We just purchased one. Have not had it in a significant rain storm yet. You have peaked my curiosity. (We live quite a ways from the dealer and factory.)

There are a couple of versions of the 2020 R-Pod 195, mine has a window FR put in above the bed. That window / frame is where it has been leaking. Ruined the wall, mattress, plywood under the mattress. You don't need a very big rain to get it to leak.
