Rpod 179 Dinette/Sleeping

Can one or both end stack of cushions be moved? It looks like 3 in a stack on each end.
I was wondering if the dinette can be converted into an upper and lower sleep area instead of same level side by side sleeping. And how tall of a person can fit on the dinette bed?

Are you talking about the ends where it forms sort of a mini "U" for the seating area? If so, those ends are not able to be moved. There is fixed storage in one and I think some mechanicals in the other...it has been a while since I have been in the 179. I think the cushions come off to access but it wouldn't really help set it up as you are suggesting. Hopefully an owner will chime in and confirm!

Do you know if Forest River Will build an rpod based on customer specific request for a change to the normal install (within reason of course)?

I doubt it as well. I have found them to be very responsive when emailed at the contact addresses on their web site. They helped me locate a discontinued floor plan and answered some assorted questions quickly. You could always ask.

No they can't do custom requests.

I really like the RP-179, and even more with the 2017 changes, and I'm trying to figure out if I could make it work for today, me plus 4 teenagers (18,17,16, & 14 years old), and have it still fit my needs (1-2 people) when they all leave the nest. We are coming out of a tent so we r used to close quarters. I have not seen this style RP in person but hope to find one to look at soon. Thanks

I looked at an RP-179 today and It's not going to work for us. It's my favorite floor plan & perfect for me to Pod about in when the kids fly the nest BUT, at this time, I just have 2 kids too many for the 179. I think the 182G will be a better fit.
