Water dripping from 2 small pipes sticking down below shower

2 small pipes about 1 inch each tight together that appear to be capped sticking down below the camper and dripping steadily on the axle.

What are these pipes? I assume they should not be dripping...

Sounds like your low point drains, is one red and one blue by chance. Usually don't have caps but do have valves that can be opened and closed, if you can post a picture it would help.

If like these, then low point drains. just tightening the caps might stop leak.

Yes, low point drains. Mine have caps with rubber stoppers in them that tighten to seal. Be careful not to lose the stoppers.

thanks so much gentlemen. I have the rubber stoppers. I will try to get them tightened up enough to seal.

With a great deal of effort I was finally able to get 2 wrenches on each one and carefully tighten enough to stop the dripping. It appears the previous owners had not noticed or cared...the metal on the axle below has a lot of rust vs the other side.

I guess I am not clear though...what is the purpose of these 2 "low point" drains?

Low point drains

These drains are for draining your hot and cold water pipes for winter storage.

When it's time to winterized your unit for winter, you open both cap to empty water from the lines so these don't freeze....

I installed two valves and garden hose fitting to terminate with caps. for ease of use. And it allows you to connect a garden hose on site to use as an exterior faucet. To wash grill, toys ect. Can choose hot or cold also. Click image for larger version

That is a new one! Haven't seen anyone else post that solution. Interesting idea.

White Plumber tape

Be sure to use white plumber's tape on all threaded water connectors and/or rubber washers when reconnecting water lines.
