With the jack that plugs into the TV here is what I did. I had enough room in my battery box to install a 7-way socket (like on the truck). Wired it with a fuse to the battery of the trailer and plugged the jack into that. This way I can run the jack up or down without having the truck nearby, say to fine tune the level. If trailer battery is dead then I have the option of using the truck.
