Sub woofer kinda sucks

Hi every one new guy here.
2016 Sandstorm 240GSLC , any how, any body else have issue with their sub woofer distorting very easily. I just turned it off because it sounds so bad.

Yup. Severely under powered.

Best replacement would be a powered sub, with speaker level inputs.

What you want to do is locate your amp for the sub. Ours sounded horrible as well and when I turned the gain down to about 1-2 it sounded 100x better in our Stealth. Also, depending what stereo unit you have in the trailer you may have to make sure the sub is turned on each time you power on the head unit especially if you've turned off your 12v disconnect. I would definitely locate the amp though and check those settings. As I said, I changed mine and it made a WORLD of difference. I have a video on my youtube channel that shows our amp location and what I did. Good luck!

I ended up putting a toggle switch in line to the sub. It is easier to turn it off that way then going through the menu screens to turn it down when I was listening to the news. I just turn it on for music.

Should've just turned down the gain. I have ours set to where it's just barely noticeable, other campers can't hear it, and it fills the space just enough to have some higher quality audio. You could've just left it in and unhooked it.

Heck I don't want to turn mine down I want to turn it up. In ours you can hardly hear the subwoofer and I like strong base.
