08 Sierra vs 09 Sierra 351BHT

Newbie here! Were there any changes bewtween these two years? I am liking what I see so far but might be able to get a real good deal on an 08.

I have a deposit on an 09 Sierra 351BHT due into the dealer Monday so I guess I will take a ride next weekend and check her out!

We have an 08 351bht and love the floor plan. We bought it Memorial weekend and are using it at a seasonal site. If you have any questions on the 08 model I will try to answer them for you.

Trip,
I do have a question for you. In the master bedroom where does the TV go?

Thanks,
Tim

There is a built in shelf in the upper corner (behind the living room enterainment center) You have to have that side of the door closed to watch it. the shelf area itself is big and deep.

Thanks for the info! Do you tow yours or have it at a preminant site? I will be towing frequently. I also heard that this is the last year they are making them since they will change a few things and make it a park model.

Thanks again!

We have it parked and use it as a park model. one weekend we had seven kids sleep in the rear bedroom. They said they all slept good and comfortable. We shut the door to their room and were able to play cards and watch tv without being disturbed.

Trip,
Well looks like my possible new unit is due to arrive at dealer tonight or tomorrow. I guess I will have to plan the 4 hour trek this weekend and see what happens. Arethere any options you wish you had and did not get? Or any options you have thet you recommend?

Thanks,
Tim

The only option I wish it had on it is the 2nd air conditioner. With just the one, the rear bedroom does not seem to get as cool as the rest of the camper. We just stuck a fan back there to help move the air and that seems to help alot. We also only have the 6 gallon water heater, but with it set up as a seasonal we use the resort shower house alot. The gas/electric dual helps speed up recovery time though. This unit was sitting on a dealers lot, so we did not get to add any options. We bought it as is. Good luck on your purchase, we really like this floorplan.
