1996 Landcruiser 5000# Tow Limit

I am looking to purchase a New Surveyor SV264 Trailer or equivelant other model/layout and I am getting conflicting Load limit information from different sales people. Some say I can go by the total dry weight to the max and some tel me to stay under by 1000#. I would like to to get the SV264 if it is towable with my vehicle. I am willing to get trans & oil coolers if needed along with what ever load level sway hitch set up is best. I have a GVW of 5000# and would like to buy either a SV 264 with a total dry weight of 4053# or a SV250 with a total dry weight of 3522#. I did some forum searching first but did't find much.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Mike
