Shady Maple has the best buffet. Its also the best grocery store I've ever seen by a long shot. I'll be at the Comfort Inn this week, next to the CaseIH/New Holland Factory. In tractor school this week.

First trip out this year will be to Shawnee SP in PA second weekend of May. Never camped there - need to do some recon before we drag the Flagstaff up there.

Been cold here in South(N GA). Went to Fla. in Jan. Had to winterize twice this yr. Ready to get out in beautiful mountains of E Tn and N GA. Great state parks. Love Cloudland Canyon south of Chattanooga. Beautiful gourge and falls. I like the "hitch itch" idea!

We started our camping season this year two weekends ago. After a very slow year of camping in 2013, hope to get a lot more in this year. We do a lot of one nights at a near by State Park. Happy camping everyone!

You may already know about this, but The Veranda in Black Mountain is a great place for homemade soups and sandwiches. We go there everytime we're in the area. Also, their actual veranda out back is pet friendly.

Not to hijack the thread, but thanks to all who have posted about food at various parks! The wife and I (read "I") do our own cooking in camp but enjoy one meal out when there is a quaint/historic/tempting restaurant in or near the park where we're staying.

Our first trip of the year will be April 18th Easter weekend at Frontier town in OC MD. One of the favorite spots the family likes to start the camping year.

Our shakedown trip was to Choctaw Casino, Durant, Ok. last weekend. I discovered a slow water drip from the under pinning. Everything else was fine. Our first real trip will be to Turkey, Texas for Bob Wills Days the last week in April. Now to work on that drip.....

Finally got to do some of the mods I was planning all winter to do, got the large slide opened and hooked up an accumulator and an anti freeze hook up so the pump will draw direct from the antifreeze jug. Next week i should be able to get up to add roof vent covers and some of the other things since it finally broke 30 f outside.

2014 Camping Season Start

Our first trip will be Easter weekend when we pick up our Wildwood xlite 185rb. It's our first TT and we are a little nervous but excited. We will camp near the Catskills.

We started last week at Ft Wilderness for a week. Last year, I had to re-winterize when I returned home to OH. This year it appears the temps will stay above freezing until we head out again on May 2 to the Tadpole rally on the OH river.
