2014 Flagstaff 8528 RKWS

Do I need to shut off the switch near the battery? I am a new owner and a bit green.

Nice unit! I have a 2011 8528BHSS. I don't do any primitive camping so I don't know about that. I don't have a disconnect on mine and the only time I manually disconnect is for winterizing.

If you are going to store your trailer unplugged, then disconnect the battery with the cutoff switch. But consider removing the battery to store indoors, maybe connected to a trickle charger. I leave mine in the trailer and connected, but always plugged in so the battery never discharges. Does that answer your question?

Great! I'm excited to be taking possession of my new Flagstaff 8528RKWS this Tuesday. Have a great time with yours!

This unit must be getting popular. We have one too. Ours stays on power all the time, so no worries about the battery.
