My bother made it a point to tell me to look at least a year in advance. The place he stays at filled up quick, none of the spaces were vacant for more than a few hours when someone pulled out.

We are now in Ajo Az. till Tuesday morning when we will head on to Tucson. We will probably visit Organ Pipe National Monument tomorrow. We viewed the old Copper Mine site today and the Ajo Museum. The Copper Mine here employed as many as 3,000 people at one time. I will post some pics in the next day or two if possible.

We really enjoyed our visit to Ajo AZ. and Organ Pipe National Monument. Ajo was a once prosperous town when the Copper Mine was operating. It employed up to 3,000 people in it's heyday. It was the third largest operation of it's kind at one time. The town is still a busy little town with visitors to Organ Pipe and the winter ATV crowd. A lot of people winter here. We stayed at Ajo Heights RV Park. It is your usual desert park with all gravel throughout the park. They have FHU,Restrooms, showers, and a small Laundry. The gravel is larger than normal gravel and thick so there is hardly any dust at all. The WIFI was pretty good for an RV Park. It was better than my Visible which I have found worked good everywhere we have been. We are around 100 miles from anywhere. I have many pics to share and you will notice we are very intrigued by the desert landscape.

The old Copper mine and the Ajo Museum. The Copper mine is 1.5 miles across and 1,000 feet deep.
