2024 Tampa R/V Supershow

Spent a day in Tampa at the show.
There were LOTS of units.
It seemed this year (more so than before) as though factory representation was less and many of the brands were on display through dealers and they wanted the dealers to do a lot of the leg work.
The Lithium booths were PACKED!
Less accessories vendors but way more "Come to our Resort" vendors.
All in all, very well attended. People are still very much interested in buying.
Tried to speak with Brian Clemens but he was swamped. (as a good rep would be)

Personally……I’d be wanting to enjoy that beer along with some of the best deli meat sandwiches at the Lucky Dill just down the road from yourself. 😋

Hmmmmmm. Google Maps still shows them at the same place I recall on US 19 just North of Tampa Road…..but we haven’t Snowbirded down there since early 2018.

Oh well……loved the attached Brooklyn Bakery too.

Spent ALL day Wednesday there with our list of 14 units that met the 80% of what we want to buy in our next TT layout rule. Walked thru at least 50 units before narrowed down to 3 to revisit & I think Forest River is gonna keep us :-)

Love this forum, our 2013 Microlite has been great & that Rockwood is sure looking like a great upgrade

Heading back tomorrow evening for Day 2 and a chat about price & options & maybe an order.... was hoping the parents home in Z-hills we just inherited would have sold by now freeing up some $$$ with lots of walk thrus this week and one offer just fell thru :-(

Good show & agree the vendor barns are just not what they used to be at all ....

I did not, darn.
It would have been nice for FROG to have posted to this forum where that booth location is so those of us attending wouldn't have to blunder across it to know there even was one.

I also spent a good bit of time looking at Cedar Creeks and Riverstones and none of the Lazy Days folks offered up an invite.

Yes I agree about posting and I apologize as I could have done it myself, we were right around the corner from the Creeks and River Stone units but we really were not sure where we would be until opening day.

You are not the only one commenting about the sales folks, almost seemed they were not the typical aggressive normal sales type.

Went to purchase our RV & since the last one was cash out the door in 2013 was a bit sideswiped by this cash price higher than the financed price & pay off in 6 months so dealership gets their bank cut of cash thing. Thanx to the FRF I now understand it a bit better & will likely go forward on this now. Staying with FRF (& thank you to Steve the FR rep on the Blue Compass site for answering all our questions over & over again with lots of patience....he should 100% get credit for this sale).

We were there for Thursday and Friday as it's too much for my DW in one day. Agree dealers were aplenty these year with lots of RVs.we looked closely at the Newmars, Entegra, and tiffin especially the phaeton and busses but in the end I'll stick with what we have. It has its issues but I know the coach. As for this Traveling Robert? Is this it? We were sitting down have lunch when it got off that scooter and was conversing with folks. It's tall!!! btw I posted the pictures in the right direction not sure how its off.

Just say that you will finance and then pay off the loan when you get it in the mail in a month. We were very unhappy with CW when we bought out 5th wheel last year and agreed to finance to be able to take advantage of the price. We paid off in a month. Finance guy( he was a piece of work) was displeased that we paid of and they did not get the pound of flesh, but I was not giving CW one penny more after the way we were treated.

So our camper is on the lot at blue compass in Tampa. Blue compass had people from out of the area working the January rv show and Julie from Albany closed our deal. Now the financing has to be signed via Albany and Tampa has our unit! We were approved back on January and the order placed. Albany is insisting on snail mail for the finance papers instead of filling them out tomorrow in Tampa and getting this deal done. What the heck? Albany claiming since it was a manufacturer show it has to be done this way. Wonder if Forrest river aware of how they are being used in this deal? Something doesn't smell right??

SOOOOO..... after visiting our new custom ordered TT on the lot where other buyers can walk thru it - it has become clear that if you are buying at a show make sure you sign the dotted line with someone local to where you live. Things you would never know (but we will for the next one in a decade!). Still waiting for the finance papers to arrive from NY. They claim the loan has started as of yesterday - even with no signatures & no scheduled pick up date here.
Looking forward to our new Rockwood but not really sure where my frustration is properly placed - on the dealership, the show organizer or some contract Forest River has with Blue Compass? Our last buy (ok 2013....ancient of days) was off the lot locally at a mom & pop (Register) and they were wonderful.... so I guess should just be frustrated with our ignorance I guess....
