2nd AC Opinions

Which should I consider - Dometic or Coleman. It will be a 13.5. Give the good and bad. I have been told that the Coleman is better and it is cheaper and the Dometic costs more because of the name. Which is the better quality unit? Thanks

I've actually found that the Coleman costs more than the Dometic. I bought a Dometic 13.5 for my second A/C because it matched the 15k stock unit. Paid around $450 for it.

Adventurerv.net If you're lucky like I was, you can get it when they have a special on and save on shipping. They also have scratch and dent models. Usually a dented top. Mine was delivered with a small sent on a corner, called them up and they had me a replacement top within a couple days. Great service!

I have 2 ACs in my 2012 V-Cross 275 fiver, both Dometic, one 15,000 and the other 13,500. It is my understanding that they are made in the USA and it is a US company and I have been told that the Coleman is made overseas. Not 100% sure, but I try to buy American made products when I am able.
