50 amp upgrade

Looking at buying a Rockwood 2902WS. The trailer on the lot has a 50 amp upgrade with wiring set up for a second ac unit, but does not include the second ac unit. Is there any advantage to this "upgrade", or would it be better for me to order one with the standard 30 amp plug and save a little on the bottom line.

Any advantage to 50 amp?

Yes! Yes! 1000 times YES!

Even if you never go with the second air, you won't have to worry about blowing the breaker if you are using the microwave and the coffeepot at the same time the air is running, or other such situations. A simple $25 adapter will let you use it on a 30A if you ever have to, but 50A is getting more and more common. I have yet to plug mine into 30A, except at my house.

The big advantage is, one day you may decide to bite the bullet and go with the second air. At that point, you will be kicking yourself if you didnt do the 50A upgrade.

It's worth EVERY penny!

X1000 With 50A service, you actually have 100A of total power available.

This link may help. as it explains the true difference between 30 amp and 50 amp power supplies. It's not just a 20 amp difference.

We bought our Windjammer off the lot, and it has 30A service. I wish it had the 50A upgrade. I'm even looking at upgrading it to 50A.
