55+ communities that accept 4 dogs

Here is our issue. We have 4 dogs that are part of our family. They are 4 poodles. 2 standard poodles and 2 miniature poodles. So far we are having a very hard time finding places that accept our dogs. Does anyone have suggestions. Please help.

That is why we are asking. We want to end up in Florida. We are here now and have not found any dog friendly places that will accept 4 dogs. Any help would be great on this one!

Are you talking about a 55+ RV park or a 55+ residential community?

We would be willing to look at either one. But we have not not found either one that will accept 4 dogs.

The Villages won't allow your dogs?
That's a surprise.

Sorry if I was too flippant; There are places that are dog friendly there.

Yes not 4 dogs. My Dad used to live in the Villages. What is the differences between 2 and 4 dogs on a lease?

I would assume that either damages or complaints led to not allowing 4 dogs.

That is bs. Most people that own 4 dogs will take better care of there own dogs. Than if they have children. Am I am wrong?

Harbor Lakes in Port Charlotte isn't 55+ but is primarily 55+. I can tell you that we're definitely the oddity when we stay there.

Their policies just say "Pets allowed" but don't talk about limits:

Same with Royal Coachmen in Nokomis (same with the 55+ thing, too):

There are those with 4 dogs that don't take care of them, just like there are those with 4 children that don't take care of them.
I don't think you can claim "most" for either side and I'm a dog lover.
But no one forced you to have 4 dogs, that was a personal choice that comes with limitations.
We camped a lot at National Parks, which doesn't allow dogs on trails. We had to accept that limitation, when we took our Golden camping with us. And man, did she love camping.

Not in Fla, but Four Paws Kingdom Campground in Rutherfordton, NC, will welcome your four dogs and provide a private fenced play area at most sites, plus six general off-leash areas, one with a pond.

Lots of dog and people activities. Only age requirement is that all human guests be over 18. We and many of our camping friends have been taking our dogs there for 16 years. Always a fun place with top reviews.

No you are not wrong about folks with dogs taking better care of them than they did their own children. Seen it often.

But you are wrong if you believe 55+ communities/campgrounds having rules about the number of dogs is BS. It is THEIR business and they can make any decision/rules they want, just as it was your decision to have 4 dogs.

Does it have to be a 55+ park?
