60 day check up

Bringing my camper in to camping world tomorrow morning. It's time for the 60 day check up. Anyone know what this consists of?

No idea. Haven't heard of this before.
DO NOT LEAVE IT.....You might not get it back before the end of camping season.

I have a 930 appointment, if they can't be done by lunch I'm headed out with tt in tow! If they quote me a price I'm headed out... I have a bad feeling this is a money grab.

X2 — but you might want to lock up your gold watch and your wallet!

I forgot.... Please let us know what you find out.
On our last visit to Camping World for minor work, they handed us a list of 'services' that they now provide..... for a cost. Didn't read it though.

I wouldn't take my trailer to Camping World if they paid me to. I also would never buy one from them, so no need to ever take it there.

Sounds like the 10,000 mile service on the car. Lol. Yeah, oil, filter and a long list of stuff I need to pay for.

I would hope it's a free service where you can give them a preliminary list of warranty issues. Otherwise you will probably need a lube job.

What? Why would you ever think that?

You should have the following procedures done:
Tire pressure check: $50
Safety chain check: $50
Gray and black water disposal valve check: $75
Carbon monoxide alarm check: $25
A/C check: $25
Slide test: $20
Window crank check: $10
Window blind check: $5

What's wrong with that?

I have never heard of a 60 day check. As others have said sounds like another thing to get your money.

Like some tire stores and others dealers give you a "free" inspection and come back with a grocery list of things that "need" to be repaired. The best I ever heard was battery guard need to be installed.

At least they didn’t tell you the Johnson rod was bad.

So... I decided to call before going in and asked what this check up was about and was told oh you're scheduled for a detailed inspection. Ok describe that, she said they look for leaks, abnormal tire wear, loose electrical connections, mechanical functions and lots of things, we spend hours looking, best 260 bucks you can spend. Me... So that 930 appointment mam, you can cancel it.

Yep, typical RV dealer tactic.

They can also check out those important aspects of your tow vehicle too:
Blinker fluid, leaking framistat, and put summer air in the tires. If they have a real good tech they might even be able to check out the piston return springs. Yes indeed, CW can do it all
