A/C

My a/c cuts off and then immediately turns back on. Why? And how do you stop it from doing that?
Thanks in advance.

This usually happens when you start the AC in a hot humid RV with ducted AC. The ducts reduce the air flow and the coil can freeze up . When you start a ducted AC in a hot humid RV, open the dump vent and allow the AC to run long enough to cool the unit and reduce the humidity. Once it cools close the dump vent. The dump vent is the large vent on the AC unit itself. If you look carefully at the grid mechanism on the ceiling part of the AC unit, you should see a small tab that will slide the vent open. This allows high air flow directly out of the AC preventing freeze up. If you need AC in remote parts of the unit, you can slowly close the vent after cooling the unit.

You may want to check your voltage if it only happens at the campground you are at now. I had an issue where my AC would cut off for about 15 - 30 seconds every now and then. I noticed the microwave clock would reset too. Bad breaker in the campground panel was causing a voltage drop.

Another possibility is that you have your fan speed set to AU for Automatic and the unit turns off the fan momentarily to restart in a different fan speed.

I am betting on this. Try setting it to high or low instead to see if it continues and report back.
