Took the TT on it's first trip onto the beach here on the south shore of Long Island. This unit is about 1,300 pounds heavier than my last but my truck had little issue tugging it across the beach sand in 4LO. Weather was awesome and we have great beaches here on Long Island. Not alot of folks that can travel 45 minutes and have this.
It was also nice to have along for the first time a set of Honda generators and keep things peacefull like the surroundings.
Thanks everyone. This is by far our favorite spot to camp here on L.I. the sky there at night is such a sight it's unreal. Sky is filled with stars as far as the eye can see in any direction. You can see the milky way spread across the sky very clearly. Having the surf sounds put you to sleep is soothing. The tide never comes up anywhere near the campers. The fishing here on L.I. is pretty good also caught a few striped bass only one keeper. I am going back for a full week in late July I took a vacation week from work and do not plan on leaving that beach for the entire week.
Where on LI is this located? What are the requirements to pull a trailer on the beach? Jacks, pads, tow rope? It would be great to hit the fall striper run.

It's on the eastern end of Long Island on the south fork. Not very far west of Montauk Point you need a Suffolk County Parks beach permit cost about 92.00 for the year. You need the things you listed fire extinguisher, tow rope, first aid kit, shovel etc. The fall Striper run here is top notch.
