When we are out and about and especially in an RV park it is amazing how many people stop and look at our map and if we are outside they stop and talk about our adventures.

WE put our map on a small piece of plexi-glass with hole to hang it like a sign....now if I could just remember to display it when we are parked

I like your thinking. . . . . . We have been to Hawaii several times and visited several sights. Most of the time flying to Hawaii, one time from a cruise ship. However, my husband still won't let me claim Hawaii as a state that we visited on our sticker map because we didn't stay in our RV in Hawaii.

Guess after 40 years of camping and being 68 it’s not going to happen. I have owned one or two campers that had the map on them when I bought them.just no interest. I only camp in 5 states and it’s always the same places just keeps me from having to motel 20 min away from our events.

And that itself is a conversation starter which I think is a good reason to have a map!

Your husband is very wise. I hope I make HI one day....and I SURE won't be in a camper!

I was stationed in Hawaii for 4 years with the Navy. I regularly tent camped at Ka'ena Point, pretty much twice a month when I wasn't on deployments. If and when we ever have a sticker map, I most likely will not claim it.

While not for the camper map, I did finally check off the only state needed to claim I’ve slept in all 50 states. I flew a trip to Maui last week. I was on the ground for almost 14 hours. Currently, I am missing only one Protectorate and that is Guam.
The camper map (if I had one) would only have the states surrounding Ga. I hope to add more once I retire.
Only 10 years 354 days to go.

For those that do not have a bragging map, which one would be the most recommended?

I noticed Amazon has many different maps with the most common price point between $19.95 and $29.95. I've also noticed by reading some of the reviews that some are easy to move from location to location while others become almost permanently attached. The same goes with the add-on states, some re-settable, some get it right the first time or your map will look like dung.

Map Suggestion

I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Chose it because it was not too 'busy' like some of the maps that use all kinds of weird photos. This one is state flags. I was glad to get one before certain states decided to abandon their history and change their state flags recently.

I tell myself that every day. Most days I feel like I’m lying to myself.

That one’s fantastic. I love state flags. My goal while owning a sailboat was to have a flag for every state I had sailed in. Unfortunately that goal was pretty easy to meet. I wanted more flags!

The closest state to me with no sticker is Delaware. Despite it being only a 6 hour drive away, I have been unable to come up with a reason to go there.

Many of the state campgrounds in Delaware are great! One of our favorites is Cape Henlopen, it’s has beaches, bike trails, breweries near bye, it’s and old military base. The one neat thing is you can ride your bike over to Cape May NJ for a day tip on a ferry that is next to the campground.

Our map has always been more of a states we’ve visited as opposed to states we’ve camped in. For us, as long as we stop in the state it goes on the map.
