? About A Suburban Water Heater Install

Just had a Suburban elec/propane water heater installed in my Wildcat, previous was a propane only model. Tried it out this weekend and I went to flip the breaker in the panel after filling and there was no breaker for the water heater. Followed the ac line from the water heater to the outside socket which is right next to the water heater. Apperently the tech did not want to take the time to run the line from the water heater to the breaker box. Checking the wiring shows that the water heater, the gfi in the bathroom, the socket in the kitchen and the outside socket are all tied together. This cannot be correct, can it? Anyone from Forest River no the code for hooking up a water heater.

I dont believe that would be acceptable but at minimum it should have been run to the breaker box with breaker.
average hw heater draws around 9 to 13 amps which would be almost max for a 15 amp gfci outlet if hw heater was running you couldn't use that breaker and possibly others since most of the time there all daisy chained together

You are correct. The water heater should be on it's own circuit.
Sometimes they put them on the same circuit as the refrigerator but it should not
be on the circuit with all your other outlets.
I suggest taking it back and make them do it right.
Don't let them fool you with "that's the way we always do it" because it's wrong
no matter how many times they've done it.

Good Luck!
