Additional 12-Month Optional Protection
Just purchased a Wildwood 2018 on July 13, 2018. I was wondering if the Additional 12- Month Optional Protection Plan for Travel Trailers is still available . I have seen older posts about it, but nothing recent. For $150 , it is suppose to extend the initial 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects. Does anyone know anything about this?

It has been a "Hot Topic" in the past 2 Weeks,just under a different name,you have to Call your F/R Division for "Current Update"!  Youroo!!

If it is still available its to give you an additional year of warranty so now you would have 2. Later RJD

Yes, it is still available. Send an email, or phone call, to Forest River. I bought it for mine a couple months ago.

It supposedly is no longer available for any unit purchased on June 1, 2017 or later.
Of course, since this is a very new change, some may still be able to get it during the transition.

Yes, apparently a lot of confusion on this, even within FR, but it does appear to be on the way out. Too bad.

We bought our new 2016 Sunseeker in January 2017. I assume the extended warranty is not available to us either. We were never told about this option.

The 2nd year FR factory warranty was ONLY available on towables, not motorhomes.

I took delivery of my Salem Hemisphere Lite on June 14th 2017 and included in my paperwork was a form to fill out and send in to Forest River within 90 days to extend my warranty for one year for $150.00. I sent the form in on June 26th and I received in the mail today, July 26th, from Forest River a copy of the form with it stamped "PAID" along with it being signed and dated by Forest River for an additional year coverage.
