Air hitch or Air pin

Help! Can anyone share any thoughts on my dilema. I'm driving myself crazy overthinking this problem.
I am close to the maximum GVWR and GVCR and want to make my pulling experience with the new 5th wheel as pleasant as possible. Air pin or Air hitch? Air pin and standard hitch costs about $4000.00. Standard pin and air hitch costs about $3500.00. It's not the money so much as which will give me a smoother ride?
Any comments/suggestions will be appreciated.

Wow, what kind of hitch and air pin are you looking at??

I have a SuperGlide and Fifth Airborne pinbox, and have maybe $2500 into both of them.

On the other hand, the air hitch will stay with your tuck and can tow a bunch of different fivers, the pinbox is pretty much exclusive to the frame it works on. (mine was a Lippert 1621HD)

We did it a little different. We installed air bags on the truck with a onboard compressor, then used the standard Reese hitch with slider in our 2005
GmC. It only cost around 500.00 for the air bags, and another 700 for the hitch. We towed a 38ft 5th wheel for a few years and had no problems with the set up.
