AllRV.com less than customer focused

Purchased an item from AllRV.com May 21st, my account was charged for the item May26th, but to date I have not received the item and I was never notified it shipped. Made four attempts to contact the company by both email, contact form on their website and directly to their sales email address and by phone but all attempts have gone unanswered. Contacted my bank to dispute the charge, they attempted to contact AllRV and also got no reply, so they pulled back the charge to my account.

Anybody order from this site, if so what has been your experience?

I believe that by law your credit card cannot be charged until an item is shipped unless you approve another arrangement. I'd blame COVID-19 for now and not make a general assumption about this (or any) small company's business practices. Operative words are "for now."

A law? What entity would monitor that. Some companies say the card will not be charged till shipped but that's just a courtesy. Some credit card issuers may require shipping first but probably wouldn't know it unless notified by the consumer. You charge something directly (not via PayPal etc.) to your card, it's charged asap unless as previously stated.

Got a response from AllRV.com, after leaving a less then positive review on their Facebook page, see their response below.

I expressed my disappointment in being charged for an item they do not have and not sure when it might be available again. I am seeking a refund and will look elsewhere for the item.

I ordered their AC silencer last year and the service was great. The silencer works great also.

I hope there would be no confusion between this company (All RV Service Center .:: Tucson Arizona ) and OP's allrv. I've been dealing with this company for 8 years and very satisfied.

Sad to say this does not apply to shipping direct from factory. Some companies are just a middle man, or distributor and do not actually handle the product. They take the order then pass it along to another, it may actually go through 2 or 3 others before the order is shipped. Direct shipping from foreign countries may take a month or more even during non-Covid times.
