Antenna and cover

Winterization done! But, are there any creative ways to protect the tarp from catching the antenna edges? We were thinking about using styrofoam around the borders or maybe a row of beach balls. It's not a dish/satellite unit, just a plain antenna.
Thanks,

When you say tarp...I sure hope you don't really mean a tarp! Is it an RV cover or a tarp you got at a local hardware/big box store?

Oh thats good! Tarps are bad news...I can't offer much help with your antenna as I don't cover our trailer. Do you mean the fold down tv antenna or are you talking about a radio antenna?

Measure the length, width and height of antenna. Go to Big Box store and buy inexpensive plastic tote that meets or exceeds those dimensions. Put 1/2" foam pipe insulation ( split with sealing tape) around lip of tote. Flip upside down sitting foam on roof. This will protect the cover especially if you are in an area where you get snow.

Got this tip from the RV dealer - to cover ends of antenna, took two of these winter outdoor faucet covers, fished a bungee cord through each, leaving the "ball" on the outside of the cover, put a cover over each end of the antenna & secured with the bungee cord. Works great.
