Have not done TSE yet, but have done Wilderness 101 and Stoopid 50 twice each. Love riding up there!

Thanks for the info. Virginia in on the bucket list for bikes and ATVs. It's hard to get away sometimes. I work for the county and have plenty of paid vacation time, wife works for non-profit hospice and does not get much.

I've been MTB for a few years in Michigan. I've done a few races, 24hr races and TTs. I'm doing a little lift chair assisted stuff at the local ski areas. Pretty fun stuff, the man made features can't get pretty gnarly when wet.

WOW,,, 7 knee surgeries !!!
I thought I was bad having them both replaced !!!
Did ya do all that damage biking ???

No, amateur/college volleyball, skiing/snowboarding, high school/college tennis, surfing and being a firefighter/EMT did the damage.

I would have had them replaced, since I'm pretty much bone on bone.
But I somehow don't have much pain.
I'm limited but it's from stiffness and knee looseness.

We travel up to State College some, but our favorite spot is Stokesville Campground in the Shenandoah Valley. We like to hit Pisgah in NC also. Planning a trip through Wyoming to Utah and Colorado this June with the kids.

Who is out there and where do you like to go?
Lots of good riding out here in the west. Moab area offers lots of slickrock and single track riding. June may be kinda hot depending on where you are in UT. We would go jeepin in July and always ran into mtn bikers on the trails. Offered them ice-cold water and you'd think we were offering solid gold bars!
Colorado has great trails and the downhill runs are a blast at Vail, BC, Winter Park. I don't wear the full motocross protection a lot of the hardcore guys do but taking the chairlift to do it over and over never gets old. There is a lot of single track around the Denver area as well. The Red Rocks area is my favorite. White Ranch just outside of Golden is a great ride.
I've never ridden in Wyoming. My wife is from Green River(Flaming Gorge area) and the wind never stops blowing in WY.

Have fun!

Well, after all those surgeries, I wouldn't still be able to snowboard and mtn bike, if i hadn't done the PT after each.

I'm hesitant to do the replacements since all my orthopaedic doctors say not to unless you're in pain, which I'm not.
Also, none can say that I'll be to go back to those impact sports, without shortening the life of each artificial knee.
