Anyone else frustrated with the weather getting in the way of RV projects?

I'm getting ready to hit the road again but have a couple of small projects I want to get done on the outside of my TT. Just can't seem to get the weather to cooperate though.

Weather forecast showed dry periods for just about every day the last two weeks. When I get up in the morning it looks like it will be a dry day but about 9-10 AM it pours rain. By afternoon it's nice weather but the ground is so soaked it sounds like I'm walking on wet sponges as I go to my TT on it's pad. Working underneath is a non-starter.

For the record the Seattle area is experiencing it's third wettest year (so far) in it's recorded history.

Wish I could build a shelter for the TT but unfortunately my HOA won't allow.

Anyone else experiencing the same frustration over the weather where you live?

BTW, if this keeps up I may just take a trip to a dry area and do the work there. Not my first choice but it may come to that, assuming i can find a dry area within 500 miles

The nice thing about indoor storage and a concrete floor is that the weather doesn't matter too much. As long as the temperatures are between 30 and 75F, I'm good. I don't like it too warm. If it's cold, just put more clothes on.

North East Ohio snow belt -- average 140+ inches of snow per year (although this year is considerably less).
I don't plan on any outside projects from November - March anyway, so my answer to your question is: NO doesn't bother me a bit. I just need to keep bringing in firewood to feed the woodburner in the house.

Our rainy season starts in April after the cold and snow depart. Some summers are dry and some wet. Frustrating, when it is always wet? Yes. But without the rain there is no food. I guess it balances the summers that are so dry that the grass is brown.

Yeah, it's still winter in Saskatchewan. It has been milder than some, but even 40F with a wind (and it seems to be always windy lately) isn't much fun to work in. I'm hoping for a wetter summer, as the last three has been very dry and brought on fire bans in much of the province for at least part of the last three summers. But we're spending our winter time planning for the camping season, and thinking about our summer projects in our seasonal site.

Are there RV storage lots that would rent space for a day or 2? I seem to recall seeing ads for automotive bays with a lift that would rent out.

Not only do I have to find a good weather day, it has to be on the weekend too

On of the great things about being retired, and living full time in my 5th wheel, traveling the country, is I don't care what the weather is. If it is nice, I go for a hike or do work on the RV, if not, I go to a museum or a movie.

Hey Mike, send some of that rain down our way. We have officially gone into a drought. My son is in the same area as you and has to work in that nastiness (traffic control for road construction).

Ahh, Seattle! I did Basic Combat Training at Ft. Lewis, in that general neighborhood. I was there from January to March, 1971. I was there 70 days, and it rained, snowed, or sleeted 66 of them.

Sounds like you are right on track.

Trying hard to be sympathetic, but failing.

I can usually juggle projects around in the shop to accommodate RV work. I knew that 7700 square feet would be too small without juggling.

Like Larry-NC, I was at Ft Lewis from Jan-Mar 1968. Never ever saw the sun until graduation day. I rained almost every day and was so gloomy. I was warned what to expect in Washington and it was right on.

No rain here in Reno, less than a third of an inch since the year started.

As I tell everyone who will listen...the Eskimos have 24 words to describe snow. In Washington we have 52 words to describe rain.

Yup. I still have mine covered.
Wife's okayed removing the upper bunk to make the lower more adult friendly and use the upper area for a clothes rod.
AND I've been sitting on an axle flip kit since before Christmas.
AND I've figured out how I'm going to run heavier gauge cable to my garage for the TT. Only have 12AWG 20amp service in the garage now. Voltage really bogs down when using the TT's air conditioning.

My issue locally hasnt been so much the rain, but more so that it has been 60+ during the week, and then barely 45 degrees on the weekends. But I'll take the "colder than I'd like" over "wet". Hope you get a chance to work on it

Well Mike, it is sunny and supposed to be mid 50's today and low winds.

This is the warm side of WA. Bring your rig over.

Every year it seems we get a short string of 60's before 1st day of Spring in southern Mn. Think finally, then day 1 of Spring it all goes backwards for a few weeks. Wanted to pull camper out of storage 2 weekends ago, figured what for at this rate of weather progress. Now the virus thing throughout the country on top of all doesn't help the mood for sure.
