Anyone using Andersen or camco levelers?

Looking at these for use with a levelmate pro. My father in law uses this set up. He pulls up where he wants his trailer, looks at the level mate, backs up and places the Andersens, and drives up on them until the phone shows level. So easy a caveman can do it.

Only issue I see: His jayco has a much wider spacing between the axles than my 2509S. I've read the andersens have an issue with tight wheels. The camcos caught my eye because they are smaller, and cost a lot less. I still plan on carrying some wood for soft ground or really unlevel sites.

I use and love the ease of my Anderson levelers! My trailer axles are very close together also. I just shortened one of the levelers as per Anderson and have had no problems. You won't need to carry wood ramps anymore. I was just looking at the Levelmate Pro 2 today. Thinking this is my next purchase.

I mounted a calibrated bubble level on the front of the camper. 1" on the bubble level = 1 Lego block (Lynx Levelers). Get the A-frame within a few inches of the desired spot, read the level, put the appropriate number of blocks behind the low tire and back on. Really simple, and a box of Legos cost $30 at Walmart.

Have a couple of smallish (4"x6") 3/4" pieces of ply for those in between heights and the tongue jack stub.

If I were buying between the 2 options, I'd choose the Andersen over the Camco. Camco products are generally knockoffs of better products and I dislike rewarding them for it.

Love love the Anderson levelers. Also got LevelMatePRO from the wife two years ago. Really like that too. Now the kicker. Added the LCI smart jack last season. The three in combo are perfect and make set up and tear down a dream.

We use the LevelMatePRO and Andersen levelers combination on our Micro Lite 21FBRS and love it. We did have to trim one leveler to fit between the wheels, but once that was done, we’re good. Being able to level side to side from behind the wheel in the truck is a real breeze.

Andersons make life simple, easy to use. Only once they didn't work when the campsite was way to unlevel. The camco ones are cheaper but let's reward the company that came up with them nd made our lives easier.

I'd be happy to reward the company that came up with the idea if I didn't have to use a band saw to do it. With the Mini/Micro Lite trailers, Anderson levelers simply won't work out of the box. You will have to modify them.

For this reason, I got the Camco levelers. They work great. Used them all last season without issue. They're half the price of Anderson, but, even more importantly, they work out of the box.

If Anderson ever decides to serve the shorter axle spacing market segment, then I would patronize its business. Otherwise, I can't see paying 2x for a product that isn't designed for my trailer ... even if that is the company that first invented the idea.

Been using the Andersen about 5 yrs. We also have a tighter axel spacing. Believe you can cut up to 4" off one if needed which was in my situation. They are heavy duty and work well. Not a large footprint though, so you'd want firm ground underneath. Gives a good range of lift to find that sweet spot.

these types of levelers have a history of sliding away from the tires on certain surfaces, and there are a number of different ways that folks have attempted to combat that moving, ... many people have tried sticking step friction tape on the BOTTOM of the leveler, and often report that didn't work, ... even though it has that rough, sand like surface down against the ground, it's still not going to give much friction, if any at all, against wet grass, sand, dirt or gravel, which then will still allow it to slide away from the tire, ... four yrs ago, the day I got my Andersens, they slid the first time I tried them at home, ... with a different idea, I applied step friction tape on the TOP surface, ... I tap the leveler into the wedge area of the tire and the ground with a rubber mallet, then with the rubber tire gripping the rough surface of the tape, it doesn't allow the leveler to slide away, in a way its like the tire PULLS the leveler under it, ... this idea has never failed when using my Andersens ... last yr when Beech Lane first showed up on Amazon, they also had that idea of the step friction tape on the TOP of the levelers, but now, it looks like the tape has been removed(unless its just a bad pic and I can't see the tape) and they're using the mat instead, and I can see some complaints about them sliding, ...


another idea we use with our Andersens is pull cords for DW to remove the chocks, ... before using them, I would pull just slightly forward to relieve weight off the chocks(didn't like the video method of driving forward off the levelers, that clears the front wheel, but then the back wheel still has the front leveler and chock to drive OVER), then brake the truck, go around and pick up the chocks, ... now, using the pull cords, DW can stand safely away from any danger zone of the tires and the second I pull the weight off the chocks, she pulls them out from under the levelers, then I roll back off the levelers ... works great, is time saving, and safe, ...

For anyone considering an automated leveling system, stay clear of Bullseye Technologies. The "company" is totally under capitalized and can't stand behind their products.

I bought an electric leveling system from Bullseye Technologies in 2015, paid cash and the products did not work with my motorhome. I returned the levelers to Bullseye in Indiana and then drove across the border to Michigan and had a set of Big Foot levelers installed at the factory.

Alan Brink, the owner of Bullseye Technologies, accepted my Bullseye levelers and told me that the money would be refunded the next week.....It is now 2019 and he still owes me $1,300. I even told him that he could repay me at $100/month. He made several payments over the last 3 years and then stopped paying. Beware of Bullseye Technologies!
