Plus it doesn't have the remote start feature, which the original model of this thread had.

Amazon has the champion 3100w inverter generator with wireless remote start for $595 with prime shipping. They also have the same model without wireless and electric start for $30 less but I think the electric start is worth it. I went ahead and ordered one for some of our boondocking excursions.

https://www.amazon.com/Champion-Powe...rter+generator

Easily the best deal I've seen yet!
Yes......they can change several times a day and Amazon sometimes just makes a mistake.

What they will sometimes do if it's truly a mistake and your order was accepted, is just let the order sit marked as "preparing for shipping" or something to that effect followed by an "out of stock" notice saying when it will be back in stock is "unknown" in a week or so. That has happened to us twice over the years. Then you have no choice but to cancel the order or I guess you could just wait however long, but the chances of ever getting it at the good price are 0.

Not much you can do about it if anything, as they are not required by law to sell you anything. I guess you could always hire an attorney and sue Jeff Bezos, good luck LOL.

I buy lots of stuff at Amazon, but they do have some tactics they use every now and then that borderline on deceptive advertising. They know how close they can get to that line.

I just bought the remote start version the other week off of Amazon for $780 something. Saw this yesterday on Amazon like $200 cheaper. Was about to box the thing up and send it back. Glad to see it at $841 now. Lol!

Not sure why you'd have wanted to box it up and send back when cheaper or for that matter, why you are glad the price is now higher?

All you would have needed to do is contact Amazon and inform them the price had come down since you bought last week and they would have refunded your difference.

Hope this helps.
Update: These generators have unbonded Neutral and Ground; a "dummy" 120V plug with the ground and neutral wired together can be plugged into the generator 120V/20Amp outlet to bond these; a 30 Amp RV cable can then be connected to the RV and the EMS-HW30C works just fine.

Actually it is already down to $599.00. These prices are changing with the wind. It jumped from $567.00 to $744.00 now back to $599.00 so maybe the remote start one will head back down. I've set up a trolling program to watch the price. Should it hit a new low for the remote one I'll be sure to post it here

Cabellas has their generators on sale along with 15% I think club point bonus. I bought a 7.5kw dual fuel unit (Champion) for 899 and got about 140 dollars worth of club points.

As a Cabelas Black Card holder, the only time I buy anything there is when I cannot find it anywhere else. In the winter, I can see the store from the top of my grain silo.

It's a good price on those generators though. Several hundred cheaper than Amazon.
Cheaper than anyone else I checked.

Why don't you buy from Cabelas? Did you have a bad experience there?

No, on the contrary, I find Cabelas 'asociates' to be helpful and courteous. I find their prices to be above normal however.

I buy a lot of firearm related items and optics but almost never there. I may go look at what I'm interested in and then get it online or through a good friend who owns a gun shop. I prefer to give him my business as a small business owner myself, I know what it takes for a small business to survive.

Because I use my card for business related expenses, my 'points' add up pretty fast so if I do want something and I have the 'points' I go get it.

Bought my Champion at Cabelas...on points only.
