Just surprised FR used an axle that was JUST enough to meet the weight needs with no padding for safety.

If they put a larger axle under the TT people would just load the trailer up with more stuff further stressing the frame.

GVWR is the sum of all structural parts, Axle, Frame, Tires, etc.

Over the years I've started leaving more and more "stuff" at home. If I go off for a month rather than carrying a month's worth of clothes, I carry a week's worth and a bag of quarters for the laundromat.

Cheap melamine dishware instead of heavier "China". I've also slimmed down my tool box. If there's no nut/bolt/screw, etc on my TV/TT for any wrench, it stays home. Just like a bicycle tool kit, only the tools actually needed go along.

If people were to make note of what they actually used on their last trip and how much they never touched, in time it would be clear how much stuff is just getting a tour of the country without being used.
