Barn too short

I have a 40X50 metal building that I store my fiver in that has a clearance of 38ft 7 inches. My current fiver is only about 30 ft so I have plenty of room. I am wanting to upgrade to a larger Fiver and was wondering if any of you has had any experience in adding a few feet to the front of a metal building?

I had a pole barn extended one time--we took the metal off the end. Cut the poles even with the ground. Added 24' and used same material we took off to put the end back on.

We did use new poles -probably wouldn't have to. Can't tell mine was extended.
