battery charge

I just bought my first 5th wheel about a month ago. It is an 08 Palomino Sabre. The previous owner had it hooked up to electric full time while building a house. I've had the 5th wheel out a couple of weekend test runs and after each the battery loses its charge in under 2 weeks even though it shows full charge when hooked up. Has the battery been comprimised by the continual trickle charge? How long should it hold a charge while in storage?

Please check the water level. Low water level will ruin the battery over time.

The battery will show full when you have the trailer plug in to shore power un plug it then check the reading . Two week it loses it charge it could because there are thing using the DC power like co2 detector and there is a switch on the fridge for a heated seal it may also be on and it uses a lot of juice the switch is under the top of the freezer switch it off dont need it unless your seal is sweating make sure heated tanks are off if you have them there was an instance where when the switch is off some of the tanks turned on and when trurned on the others came on it was a relay problem .This is just some thing to check for hope it helps, also welcome to the forum

There are lots of parasitic draws on the battery while your trailer is not being used. e.g. LP gas detectors, etc. It is not unusual for a battery to go dead after a few weeks.
