You're going to find a 1000 different answers (mostly opinion) on this.

I'd say yes for long term storage. Couple of weeks up to a month? No.

What are you doing putting that thing away now? The seasons not over yet! You still got a couple of months left maybe a week or two after that till the next season starts!!

Revised.. ok. I shoulda looked at your profile. You're from NC so maybe you have a little more excuse.. I assume you're leaving the camper there.

Not sure what the fridge has to do with it. I never run fridge between trips, waste of power and more wear and tear on the fridge. But I would disconnect.

Are you planning to leave the refrigerator on? (not sure why you mentioned refrigerator runs on 12v)

We need more information as to exactly what you are planning to do before we can give advice.

There are many ways to store a R/V depending on circumstances/make/model.

Fully charge the battery then disconnect a cable. It will be fine for the next 4-5 months.

Again... are you planning on leaving the refrigerator running?

Or... are you shutting everything down?

I fully charge my batteries then completely disconnect and left them outside until spring, then they get topped up. They lose less than 10% charge over the 6 months of winter.

X2
I do as well... BUT... the OP mentioned the refrigerator in the original post being on 12v... until they answer the question I have asked twice... we really can't give them an answer whether to disconnect the battery.

They said they have no power at storage but mentioned the refrigerator on 12v.
Sounds like they either need to keep it plugged in or disconnect with no refrigerator.

Awaiting more information...

That fridge thing is pretty cryptic. But he's probably pretty fried traveling 12k miles, lol.

Great, thanks.
Just make sure the battery is fully charged, then disconnect. You'll be fine for 4-6 months.

Since it is not as cold in Florida as a lot of the country, just give it a check with a meter every month or so.

Trojan recommends that the battery should be charged once it gets to 70% down(12.37V) in storage. I would only let it drop to 80% max myself.

Take the battery out. We take ours out when I winterize and put it on a trickle charger until spring time.
