Benefits of Shore Power While in Storage

I store my Forester at a public lot outside...easy access and $275 a month less than a nice inside storage alternative and electricity. I have an opportunity to invest about $300 to have a 30amp and 110 service put on a pole right by my unit that I could use.

So for the many of you who keep power on your MH during the winter storage months, are there any downsides/risks to that which offset the positives such as coach/chassis batteries stay charged and there's no running the genny if you want heat or 110 outlet usage when in the MH.

I think my only concern is the constant on/off of the furnace and blower in the coldest of days and the propane I will use (though very economical.) Of course I could put an electric heater in there on a thermostat but that sort of worries me.

My unit did fine sitting through last winter with no power...am I missing a big positive if I keep it powered this winter? Thanks for your input!

If I could keep my TT heated, I would, but I cannot, so I do not.

My concern would be that winter power tends to be somewhat sketchy. I would make sure I had an effective EMS going. Either install one in the unit or I'd find a steel box in which I could enclose a portable unite and padlock. Then chain the box to the power pole/
