Best Insurance Company?

I am looking for opinions here. What kind of experience have you had with insurance companies for your travel trailer. Our home and auto is with State Farm and when we purchased our trailer, we did not shop around and we just went with State Farm so we could tow it off the lot. I recently discovered that policy has silently expired and am quickly working to correct that. (Kind of disappointed in the insurance company for not sending a renewal notice) Any feedback concerning cost, satisfaction with claims, etc.. would be much appreciated.

We have Travelers ins with house and 3 cars. Added trailer for $400 a year. Premium depends on value of the trailer for our policy.

The problem with many insurance company's, State Farm, is that they don't do replacement cost. They do ACV and if you owe more you have to make up the diffetence.

Good point. Do you have experience with a company that will do replacement cost?

I been with State Farm for years with many diff RVs. I have always had replacement value on my policies. But State Farm covers no contents. My 2016 Shasta Flyte 185FQ is $221.00 a year. I have not found cheaper and I have looked.

I use State farm. I refinanced my camper with State farm and with any loan they write they include the gap insurance for free. And the rates were good too...

So do we. Checked AAA and another and NG had the best deal. Going to check with Costco for everything. Will see if we can save anything that way.

Everything else we have is through USAA. I just added the trailer to that. About $350 a year for mine.

I have everything but the trailer through State Farm.

The trailer is through foremost. They are a division of farmers, call a farmers agent to get a quote. My parents agent was 20 percent less for the same plan compared to the phone quote directly from foremost.

I have 10 year replacement cost. The first 5 years if it is totaled they buy me a brand new model year. The rest of the years they right me a heck for what I paid for it. It also includes liability insurance for your camp site, personal items in the camper and some other stuff.

I pay $54 a month but I’m also a lot younger than most on here

Thanks for the info... I will leave that "younger than most" statement be your battle though! We all feel young when using our camper. Mine is a bumper pull and I don't recall any insurance quotes having an age question associated with it.

Once you sign up for a policy they will ask for a date of birth.

When I got the plan a year ago I was under 30. Called hem and had hem re run it and my premium dropped 5 percent because I’m over 30 now.
