Best map of US for RVers
Hi folks; I'm starting the planning of my RV journey ( travel the 49 continental states and a bit of Canada) which will take me a couple of years I reckon.... Question is: do you know of a map that I can use to color / mark state by state as I visit them?
Thanks

Laminated Rand McNally truckers atlas. You can get one at any truck stop.

Are you talking about a digital map or a hard copy one?
Digital version is explained here:

I also wanted to have something in the actual RV; I found online a good quality US map puzzle that I'd glue in the door (inside) so every time I open the door it reminds me of how many states are still left !!

I used a AAA map of entire USA for my old motorcycle trips years ago. I think they still make it. It's a decent size.
Probably other paper maps if you search on goggle.

Not sure how the OP can color in Google state maps or state maps on a gps? Just to be clear... As per posts #1 and #6, the OP is wanting a states visited map.

Exactly... I am not looking at a map for guidance while driving... we have a good tool in Google Maps or Tom Tom, etc..... I was looking at something I could stick to the wall in the RV so every time I put my feet in one state while RVing, that state is marked in the map.... I've got a couple of great solutions from the members of this forum and there is even an electronic version for your signature if you want others to see how many states you have visited.... very cool...

I figured you were married. You want a map to mark where you've been. You already have a wife to tell you where you're going.

We have one similar to what JimmyThe Traveler posted (our states are cutouts of state license plates), but we found this one over the weekend. We’ll use chalk pens to fill in our states. No, we aren’t from Texas but retirement may find us there.

We sat down one night and went through the old Rand McNally atlas and found we have been in every lower 48 state with an RV except Kentucky. How we have missed Kentucky I have no idea.
