We're planning a trip to Yellowstone next summer. Wondering best route after exiting I-90 from Rapid City to get to East Entrance to park?
I'm towing a 28bhs and want good roads. also any good cg on the way.
It is the longer of the routes but it is mostly freeway.

If I were making that trip from Rapid City I would take I-90 to hwy 16 near Buffalo, WY. Take hwy 16 to hwy 14 and hwy 14 will take you into the East Entrance.
For an overnight stay along that route I would use either Deer Park Campground or the Buffalo KOA. Both parks are good choices and they are right along hwy 16 just before the town of Buffalo, WY.
