Best Verizon phone plan for Canadian Snowbirds

I'm in Salt Springs Florida. Up until this year , we never had much service ( ot in the boonies here). Verizon finally added some antennas to the local electric companies communication tower.

I have several Canadian friends in the park but they all have Telus or whatever they use in canada and it is frustrating trying to communicate with them and they are frustrated now being able to call back home.

What's the most economical way for them to get verizon service and still be able to use phones back home? Two different phones? or???
thanks!

I don't know anything about Telus. Do they allow WiFi calling? Is WiFi free in the park? That might be one way.

Otherwise, prepaid Verizon would work too.

"Love Your RV" on YouTube did a video 3 weeks ago about the plans they use when they are in the U.S. and home in Canada "Cell Phone/Internet Plans We Use as Canadian RV Snowbirds".
